Community Impact

Partners Strengthening the National Comp Community

National Comp is produced by The Institutes, a nonprofit organization, and is built around education, connection, and progress across the workers’ compensation community. That purpose extends beyond the conference itself.

We are grateful to partner with nonprofit organizations whose work supports students and families affected by workplace injury, people navigating work-disrupting health events, and women building careers and leadership within workers’ compensation. This page is intended to help more people learn about their missions, share their work, and find meaningful ways to get involved.

Kids’ Chance of America

When a worker is seriously or fatally injured on the job, the impact can change the future of an entire family. Kids’ Chance of America helps ensure that higher education remains within reach for their children.

Through a network serving all 50 states, Kids’ Chance provides scholarships and support to children of workers who have been injured on the job. Since 1988, Kids’ Chance organizations have awarded more than 11,000 scholarships totaling over $42 million.

Alliance of Women in Workers’ Compensation

The Alliance of Women in Workers’ Compensation works to unlock the full potential of women across the industry. Its mission is to inspire investment in women of diverse backgrounds and cultures through education, intentional support, and collaborative relationships.

Through mentoring, events, networking, and leadership opportunities, the Alliance helps professionals build meaningful connections and advance their careers. Its inclusive community welcomes professionals of all genders and career stages in support of a stronger workers’ compensation industry.
